AIM Comic #23 – Practically a Slap Fight

by Amanda

Billy Holiday and I have been good friends for a long while.  However, things almost ended tragically when we had a conversation about cooking chicken.  I place the blame entirely on myself.  I, as a friend, should not have been so quick to mock this brine.  I hadn’t realized how serious the situation was, how vulnerable Billy Holiday felt because his chickens kept coming up dry.  I understand why he snapped at me so angrily.  Perhaps I would have done the same thing if in his shoes.  I am sorry, old friend!

You don’t have to click this one.  I made it to fit the site.

You DO have to click these links though, if you want to go to either of these comics: #22 or #24.

After reading this, I thought…what the hell is a brine?
eHow says….The time-honored technique of brining a bird before you roast it helps ensure a plump, moist, bird with lots of old-fashioned flavor. Once you’ve experienced the difference brining can make, you’ll never want to do without it.
…of course I have never made a dry chicken either.

Brines cannot make a chicken any kind of healthy-eating, imo.
