News Update November 29th: Good Tidings and Half-Full Promises
Hello, delicious readers! We come to you fatter, older, and less willing to entertain you as continually as we did in October, but more willing than we did throughout November, I guess. Thanksgiving was good for us all, and bad for our bellies. November, in general, was a treat. Honestly, every other month should be another November. It wasn’t refreshing. It didn’t restore our energy. What it did do was remind us that we really enjoy not catering to invisible whims that we pretend that we can perceive from our readers, all two of you. And yet, here we are bringing you promises of a December to Remember. Probably.
Now, this isn’t going to be October, Part 2: Santa Boogaloo. You aren’t getting ten new items every week (or more accurately, five to ten new items, I guess). Really, we only plan to TRY to give you full Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with the occasional extra bonus article on occasional Tuesdays and Thursdays. And we aren’t going to be theming this shit up with All-Holidays All the Time, either. Frankly, we are just not full of the Cheer. Yeah, we’ll have a few seasonally-minded offerings, but that’s only because it is easier to write about things like that for topics after all of these years. Yes. We can admit it. It’s just new material that we didn’t care about covering before.
We are trying out the “calendar” idea once more behind the scenes. That’s what went on in October. We gave ourselves deadlines, structure, so that we could fully enjoy everything we could offer of the Halloween season. THIS time, we are trying it to see if it could actually be useful in a more ordinary way – as our gift to you. Also, Amanda finally has a scanner so she is going to try her hand at an old comic for the first time in like four years. She’s really saying she will probably do it this time!! Look for it around Christmas proper.
Speaking of Amanda, she plans to make a bunch of little paintings and shit and put them up on her under-used etsy account, which has been sitting there languishing, dusty and sad, for like the past half a year. I’ll put up a little ad or something linking to it on the side soon and you can go there and order things and make her feel like life is worth living again. They probably make excellent gifts for others, or yourself. Some day it won’t be all TIS THE SEASON, so you can also consider them excellent for birthday gifts and Valentines things and etc etc etc. When is a tiny painting or whatever she has to offer NOT a good buy? The answer is NEVER. Because they are always good, you see. Listen, just buy the damn things.

Here is the link to her profile, at the time of writing she has TWO WHOLE FIGURINES up. Soon, there will be more. Don’t worry, kids. [update 2012: no longer exists because fuck etsy, imo]
Oh and before I go, I’d like to remind you guys once more that we enjoy reading your submissions. Some of you are turning into fine writers, so if you have opinions and a decent command of the English language, why not give it a shot and try to get us to use your offering in an act of desperation because the rest of us forgot to write anything yet again?
