Comic: Who Are We to Meddle in the Lives of Horses?
![]()

Equine Society is a complicated system, thousands of years old. Human beings have no right to stick their noses into all of that and try to “right” perceived “wrongs.” Let the horses do it themselves. Ugh, I tell you. Human arrogance always does more harm than good in the end.

Horse clown is my personal hero.
Horse Clown is better than Apple Butter at least.
Strangely relevant to my current lifestyle. Also depressing that it is relevant to my current lifestyle
Yes I seem to only make comics that are depressing on some level. Sometimes they may only be distant levels but they get noticed eventually.
Clearly horse clown is symbolic of societal expectations of equality being imposed on the unequal. I think that horse clown’s sadness is representative of the sadness of anyone who was born with a certain peculiarity, but has been told that he must conform to society and be something other than what he is. The final sigh of the horse clown shows us that he has now been brought back to his beginnings, and is sad that he must be stuck with them. This leads me to believe that horse clown’s problem is not oppression in a certain role, but his own self loathing for being part of a role that others deem to be oppressive. If he were simply accepted as the clown that he is, then he might be a much happier horse.
That’s my take on it, anyway.
